Matthew paints a picture of stark terror and physical judgments falling upon the Earth, and then people shall see the ‘Son of man’ coming down from Heaven. Paul on the other hand, talks about none of these things being connected with the Rapture of the Church. Furthermore, Paul says in the Rapture that Jesus comes for us personally and pulls us up into the clouds with Him, but Matthew says Jesus sends His angels for His elect at the Second Coming. There are 3 groups in the Bible that God can be talking to any any given time, they are not the same. First you have the Jews and Israel as one group, the redeemed Church as the second group, and the unsaved gentiles which make up the rest of the world population at any given time. Church saints mount up on white horses and return with Him. Nowhere in the passage does it mention a resurrection will take place at this time, in stark contrast to the resurrection of Church saints Paul talks about in 1 Thessalonians 4. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:

We arrived a week prior to the scheduled start of our examination while the Shroud was still on public display in order to unpack, set up and calibrate all our instruments and equipment so we would be fully prepared when the Shroud was brought to us. Unfortunately, it took five and a half days before the equipment was finally released so we had to work around the clock for the remaining 36 hours to prepare everything for our testing.
We were still finishing our preparations when the Shroud was brought into the examination room, a full hour and a half ahead of schedule! In spite of the pressure and stressful circumstances, everyone pulled together, worked as a team and we got the job done!

January 05, One of the books I read when I was still in a cult – and I wish I remembered what the title of it was now – said that most people don’t join cults because of doctrine and most people don’t leave cults because of doctrine. The authors of the book said that these were the three main reasons why people leave a cult: The difference between the lifestyle of the leader s and the way the followers are told to live.
There is often a huge difference. Leaders amass a lot of wealth and followers live lives of poverty and obedience. Cult members become worn out from the demanding life of a cult and can’t keep up anymore. Cults tamper with relationships, especially marriage and dating, by restricting, controlling or forbidding these relationships and negative influence in this area causes members to want to leave.

Transformative encounters await you here with the Eternal Creator and Reconciler. Creator God, cleanse our hearts. Accept the confession of our flaws and failures, and make us whole. Transform us, O God, into the persons of peace and grace you created us to be. Redeeming God, bring to our awareness those persons and relationships that are broken, and make us conscious of the need for reconciliation and forgiveness.
Transform us for relationships of wholeness once again. Saving God, allow us to feel your love and concern for your children in communities around the world, far and near. We remember all nations, including Peru, the country we pray for today. May we weep with your tears and act with compassion to heal those who are suffering. God of all creation, stir within us a deep connection with everything you have created; make us aware of the sacred nature of all that surrounds us and lead us into deep reverence that cultivates nurturing actions.

Centered on the University of Florida , the program called for a strong evangelical outreach and an intimate religious atmosphere in the form of soul talks and prayer partners.
Soul talks were held in student residences and involved prayer and sharing overseen by a leader who delegated authority over group members. Prayer partners referred to the practice of pairing a new Christian with an older guide for personal assistance and direction. Both procedures led to “in-depth involvement of each member in one another’s lives”.

By his ministry grew from a few individuals to over three hundred making it the fastest growing Church of Christ campus ministry in America.
Building on Lucas’ initial strategies, McKean only agreed to lead the church in Lexington as long as every member agreed to be ‘totally committed’.
